Recognition is read off the student’s own home transcript rather than typed, and a gap — a home subject with nothing feeding it — is computed and shown against the free periods that could fill it.
A period clash is a refusal, not a warning: two subjects cannot hold the same period in the same term, and the add button stays disabled until the period changes.

Why a single converted number is never printed.
The average is credit-weighted and states how many marks it skipped. A single converted number would invent precision that then gets argued about in a staff room in another country — so a letter maps to a band. Scale conversion is indicative; the host transcript is the legal record, and the page says so.
There is deliberately no frozen PDF. A transcript is generated from the marks at the moment somebody asks for it — every subject, both scales, credits, a reference and an issue date — so it cannot drift from the record it claims to summarise.
Source documents remain separate from values read from them, so generated records do not overwrite the uploaded file. Authorised staff can remove a document; a final retention schedule is not published yet.

When a school raises something, every candidate time is written in every attendee’s own zone at once — nobody has to convert anything — and each row says what is wrong with it: late for the guardian, she is in Chemistry.
Because a minor is present, an adult from the organisation is required and cannot be unchecked. That is enforced from the date of birth, and where there is no date of birth we assume a minor — the safe direction to be wrong in.
The clash check runs against the student’s real timetable, not a guess. Minutes are visible to everyone who attended plus the guardian, and an action with a date becomes a task with a reminder.
